We Now Have a New Lower Minimum Order of 15 Shirts for Screen Printing

We have been screen printing for a number of years, however our minimum order was previously 25. If you see a reference anywhere on our website that says there is a minimum order of 25 please disregard that number. It is now 15!

Below Are Your T-shirt Printing Choices for 15 or More Shirts

This now includes all of our t-shirt colours using any of these t-shirt printing options.

You Now Have 5 Printing Options

No Minimum for T-shirt Printing Using T-shirt Transfers – Screen Printing Now Has a Minimum Order of 15 (previously 25)

Screen Printing or T-shirt Printing Using Transfers

Screen Printing or T-shirt Transfer Printing

Screen Printing or T-shirt Transfer Printing

The black shirt on the left was screen printed. There is now a minimum order of 15 (previously 25).. The green shirt on the left was printed using t-shirt transfers. There is no minimum order which means we can print just one, a few or a dozen or more. Whatever you need! The difference is the ink colour. This should help you decide which is the better option for you..

  • If you are looking for just 1-colour printing particularly on dark t-shirts (such as black shirts with white ink) screen printing is likely the best option.
  • If you are looking for even 40 or 50 white or light colour shirts with lots of colours in the artwork then t-shirt transfer printing is likely still the best option

So let me give you some ideas as to the cost of screen printing vs. t-shirt transfer printing.

Let`s say that you are looking for 15, 25 or 35 sport grey t-shirts with an image on the front and no printing on the back. On the screen printed shirts we would use white ink. On the shirts with t-shirt transfers we would use black ink. The cost for 15 sport grey t-shirts with 1-colour screen printing is $16.50 (white or any of our available ink colours). The cost for 25 sport grey t-shirts with the 1-colour screen printing would be $13.25 each. And the cost for 35 sport grey t-shirts with the 1-colour screen printing would be $12.25. Please be aware that if you want printing on both sides of the shirt there is an additional cost. With screen printing the more shirts you order the less cost per shirt. Using the same sport grey shirts with white ink printing on the front the cost breakdown with the minimum orders with printing on one side of the t-shirt would work out to:

  • 15 – $16.50 each
  • 20 – $14.50 each
  • 25 – $13.25 each
  • 35 – $12.25 each
  • 50 – $11.25 each
  • 75 -$10.50 each
  • 100 – $9.95 each
  • 150 – $9.55 each
  • 250 – $8.95 each
  • 500 – $8.75 each

Alternately, the cost for the 15, 25 or 35 sport grey t-shirts that are printed with t-shirt transfers using black ink or any dark ink colour only would be:

  • $10.75 each for 12 – 99 or
  • $10.55 for 100 or more.

You can see that for 15,25, 35 (actually up to 75 are still more cost effective using t-shirt transfers if black ink on sport grey shirts or any mid-color shirt that would work for you. And that may give you a second scenario using a lighter mid-color T-shirt such as lime green with 2-colour printing such as red and dark green. With screen printing the more shirts the less the cost conversely more colors increase the cost as you will see.

2-Colour Screen Printing

  • 15 – $22.50 each
  • 20 – $19.25 each
  • 25 – $17.25 each
  • 35 – $15.25 each
  • 50 – $13.50 each
  • 75 – $12.25 each
  • 100 – $11.50 each
  • 150 – $10.95 each
  • 250 – $9.95 each
  • 500 – $9.25 each

Printing 2 Colours with T-Shirt Transfers

Alternately, the cost for the 15, 25 or 35 sport grey t-shirts that are printed with t-shirt transfers using black ink or any dark ink colour only would be:

  • $10.75 each for 12 – 99 or
  • $10.55 for 100 or more.

Now let me give you a third scenario. Light blue shirts with 3 ink colours (black / red / navy)

With 3-colour screen printing on one side of the shirt

  • 15 – $28.25 each
  • 20 – $23.85 each
  • 25 – $21.25 each
  • 35 – $18.25 each
  • 50 – $15.75 each
  • 75 – $13.95 each
  • 100 – $13.25 each
  • 150 – $12.25 each
  • 250 – $10.85 each
  • 500 – $9.95 each

For the same light blue t-shirts printed with the 3 ink colours using t-shirt transfers the cost would be:

  • 12 – 99 – $10.75 each
  • 100 or more – $10.55 each
  • You’ll notice it’s the same price per shirt as printing with one ink colour, 2 ink colours or multiple ink colours.

All of the above pricing is based on t-shirt printing on one side of the shirt to a maximum size of 11.25” x 14”. I do need to add that this pricing is for men’s, ladies or youth T-shirts that are regular sizes. If you require any 2XLs or larger, they are an additional $2.00 each. This pricing examples above are based on Gildan Ultra 2000 series shirts. We are always for the most cost-effective ways to do your T-shirt order. We have a number of ways to do that.

  1. We can use Gildan Heavy T-shirts instead. These shirts are still 100% cotton / preshrunk, the difference is that they are slightly thinner.
  2. if you only want the printing to be 5” x 5” or less (such as a logo) the pricing is slightly lower.
  3. If you are ordering a number of t-shirts and the printed area is smaller (e.g. 10” x 6”) the price will be lower.

Printing on Both Sides of the T-shirt or Adding Printing on the Sleeve

We can easily do t-shirt printing on both sides of the t-shirt or add printing on the sleeve however it does increase the cost per shirt. Here are a couple of suggestions to keep the cost down. We use screen printed transfers for our screen printing. Our maximum printing area is 11.25” x 14” so all of your printing needs to fit onto the one page. If we can do that then we can give you the best price. Also, it’s best to share the colors on the front and on the back. What I mean is if you are using red and white on the front then use either red or white or both colors on the back as well.

If you send an e-mail to [email protected] along with your image/text/artwork and the color and quantity of t-shirts you have in mind, we will be happy to give you the cost and options for your t-shirt printing whether it be screen printing and using T-shirt transfers so you can decide what is best for you.

Printing on Various T-shirt Colours

https://tshirtscanada.com/2012/06/t-shirt-printing-on-various-tshirt-colours/

In this video I would like to give you printing samples of printing the same image on different colours of t-shirts and how an image may need to be modified to print on darker colour t-shirts.

Now of course any colour of t-shirt can be screen printed with one, two or multiple colours, however screen printing has minimum ordering requirements and you pay for each colour used. This isn't a problem if you're order lots of shirts however if you only need 1, a few or a dozen or so it isn't cost effective.

At Tshirts Canada we focus on two different printing methods. Printing with t-shirt transfers and screen printing.
